I am accounting/finance major I am a semester ahead of the normal 4-year graduation and have two job offers.

The first is a mid-size accounting firm that I will be an audit intern for Winter 2014.

The second is Ford Motor company in Finance for Summer 2014.

I really want to do both and right now I'm a intern at Denso, large auto supplier, and would like to stay in the auto industry. I don't see the audit internship bringing any value since I would like a full-time job at Ford, but that may not happen, and the accounting firm would be back-up.

My graduation date won't be delayed and the ton of extra money from the over time at the ACC firm would be great. Which do I choose, or do I do both?

So wait, you have an offer at Ford, and you want to work at Ford… this should be a no-brainer. Is Ford’s offer good? i.e. is it better than the accounting firm? Also, is it supposed to be a full time internship? If so, I wouldn’t take on multiple internships - it is a recipe for either burning out or for having performance issues at both places.

The accounting firm has a better rate but thinking long-term Ford is a better choice. But, accounting firms tend to hire on their interns where as Ford I’m unsure. At the interview for Ford they said this internship leads to the Graduate rotational program but again no promises.

Both are full-time but the accounting internship has forced OT. Also, the accounting intern ends April 15 and the Ford starts end of May area.

So would you be taking the semester off to do the accounting internship? If not, what is your courseload? I wouldn’t suggest taking any more than three courses while holding a full time internship, and those three courses should be on the easier side (and should usually take precedence over the internship when there is a conflict).
