<p>So I'm kind of behind(average, but by my standards) in my math class. I'm currently in Algebra I Hon. as a freshman. To catch up with the advanced classes, I plan on taking Geometry and Algebra II next year. Will there be too many requirements from Geometry to learn Algebra II properly if I'm taking both at the same time, or will I still learn rather evenly?</p>
<p>Also, I doubt I'd do trig and calc the same year, but is that possible? Just curious about this.</p>
<p>I don’t think that’s a good idea. Geometry and Alg II aren’t nearly as related as Alg II and Calc, but there’s enough there that you would be struggling. </p>

<p>I can’t answer your question about trig and Calc, but plenty of students at my school ‘double up’ on maths and sciences during their sophomore year so they can get ahead to take more IB courses jr and sr year. It generally requires teacher approval and it is obviously going to be twice the work, but it can and is frequently done. </p>
<p>If you and your current teacher think you’re up to the task, I say go for it! I am a junior now and really wish I had had doubled up math when I had the chance!</p>
<p>In my school if you took algebra I freshman year and wanted to stay in the honors program for math, you took the double math (algebra 2 & geometry). A lot of my friends did that and didn’t have any trouble with it. GL!</p>
