Two Opinion Questions About Intelligence

1. Do you believe that intelligence is malleable?
2. Comparing yourself to the "brighter" portion of the population, how intelligent do you feel you are on a scale of 1-10? 1=not intelligent (again, compared to "smarter" people), 10=genius.

1 will obviously be interpreted different ways, but how I see intelligence in this question is thinking capacity. Can people be taught to "think", or are some people just naturally more gifted than others? Feel free to elaborate and explain how you interpreted it.

2 is 100% perspective.

It’s not completely fixed, but there are definite limits on how much it can be increased. The quality of my thoughts improves as I learn new things, but I don’t think my intelligence increases.

Compared just to smart people, 3. Compared to everyone, 6. Slightly above average, I guess.
