Not exactly sure where I should put this.

Here's what happened.

There was this asshole in my Spanish class. Classes at my school are year-long and he sat by me. Well, 2/3 of the class were bad anyway so the teacher gave up. She knew that he was picking on me, and she never cared in any way. I have teachers who were helpful, but they couldn't help me since my Spanish teacher wouldn't do anything. I got so fed up with him one day and slapped him. Twice.

The teacher didn't believe the guy at first. Even after I told her what actually happened, she said that's fine and didn't write me up. Next day, she comes up to me and says "Sorry, but I had to write you up." (Why tell me one thing and write me up? -_-) The assistant principal didn't want to suspend me, saying how the guy deserved getting slapped, but he legally had to. It was originally 5 days of OSS, but I got 3 days of ISS. This is the first time I got in trouble at school.

I heard it's possible to get it off my record. Should I bother talking to my counselor? My counselor knows me well enough to know that I wouldn't do something like that without a reason.

If I can't, can I ask the assistant principal to write to the colleges I'm applying for?
