Hey, I have a few questions about the essay format. Should I put the question that I'm addressing in my essay at the top of the page? (there were three to choose from). Do I put my name and my hs's name in the top right-hand corner on every page? Should I double space the whole thing?
Also, here's an excerpt from one of the paragraphs: "(..). I could not believe it. When will it end? I wondered". Should I put the "When will it end?" in quotes, and follow it up with a comma, like this : "When will it end?", I wondered. - the way they type dialogoues in books? Or would it be better to just get rid of that question? Is it okay to play around with the font type and make it more original that way? Or is something like that frowned upon, considered rather inappropriate?

If it's for a UC, they basically have it all in a "word pad" type format. so font, etc doesnt matter. and each page has the prompt at the top too

Don't try to get fancy; just cut the bullcrap and just write your essay plain and simple.

Use a simple, respectable typeface TimesRoman? Nothing fancy. For quotations, copy the format exactly as it would appear in a respectable contemporary book or magazine like The Atlantic or Harper's. Syneria is basically right. Your name should appear on each page --just in case.
