I submitted my UW application last night and felt so good about it, until I looked through the pdf version and saw that there’s a typo. I swear I read my essay forward and backward hundreds of times, but in one spot I wrote, “ninety-sevenwas…” rather than “ninety-seven was…”. I’m upset to say the least. This might be a dumb question, but how fatal of an error is this? Am I done for?
You have nothing to worry about.

You are fine. We all make mistakes. You are human. And as typo goes that’s pretty minor. Good chance the reader won’t even notice. Here’s a typo I did in a legal brief: instead of writing does not, I wrote doe snot. Not a good look. And an example of why not to solely rely on spell checkers. Good luck.

It happens. To quote a cultural icon: shake it off. Best of luck to you!

Same thing happened to my kids…they just fixed for the next.
Nothing you can do - you will not be denied to a college due to a typo or two. And this was just a missed space.
No issue at all.
