<p>After re-reading my common app essay multiple times (before and after submission), I read it again while working on supplements and found a typo. In my second to last paragraph, I wrote "...echo though my head" instead of "...echo through my head." I'm pretty sure this is the only typo in the essay and I know I'm being nitpicky, but will this affect how an admissions officer views my essay? I'm applying to colleges ranging from an Ivy to a state school and the mistake was submitted to all schools.</p>
<p>Writing “though” instead of “through” is one of the most common typographical errors. Even if admissions officers notice it, they will likely be understanding; any detriment to your application overall will be negligible.</p>
