Typos--advice!

I have a supplemental recommendation from one of my club advisors. It's a really good letter, very positive for me, and talks about stuff I don't have in my app since he's been my advisor for 6 years. The problem is, he's not the best writer. There are a few typos in the letter. Will this hurt me? Do adcoms care if there are a few typos---will they look down on the letter for it?

Just need some advice.

No, it will not hurt you. They're not judging you on how well your recommender can type. And they're human - they understand typos.

Typos don't matter if the content is good. On my daughter's essay they wanted her date of birth at the top. Believe me that everyone in our family proofread her essay 5 times...yet her date of birth was wrong! (Correct month and day, but year was 1995 instead of 1990). She still got in - and I doubt it's because anyone read the year and thought she was a 12 year old genius.

^It does not matter how many time you proofread something, there are always mistakes, just fewer mistakes.

Adcoms understand that it was not you who wrote the letter. One of my D's supplemental recs. was written by a person who struggled with dyslexia, but the letter was very personal and full of very kind words about my D. Of course, she enclosed it!

Alright! Sounds good. Thanks for everyone's advice...guess I'll add it in! :)
