U Arizona Transfer - Other options?

I'm originally from Brazil.

Currently attending ISU.
College GPA: 2.81 @ Iowa State U.
High School GPA: Senior average C, Junior average A-.
SAT: Date: 2005/2006
Critical reading: 490/550
Math: 600/620
Writing: 360/340

Looking for a transfer into University of Arizona, Tucson for Spring 2009 as a Sophomore. How are the stats? US News states 66% of all transfers are accepted. UA States the average GPA of the 2007 transfer was 3.2.

Also, could you recommend any other colleges that are still within the reach? I'm interested in Business, specifically Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Marketing.

Will really appreciate any response,
LHH.

Note: Have searched the Stats Profiles, but couldn't find any GPA of 2.8 that got admitted to UA.

Bump Bump Bump

To be honest, your stats put you near the bottom of the transfer pool. As an out-of-state resident attending an out-of-state school, you need a minimum 2.5 GPA to even be considered and yours is only 2.8.

Adding to the difficulty of getting in is your interest in a business major. UA's Eller College of Management is one of the top 25 undergraduate business schools in the country. (In particular, it is ranked #1 for entrepreneurship and #21 for marketing.) Admission to the Professional Program is very selective and is done at the end of the sophomore year. So if you do get admitted and have all your credits transfer over, you have only one semester to prove yourself at UA before competing with all of the others for the limited number of slots in the Professional Program.

Grades at ISU:

Freshmen Fall 07: 1.44 GPA
Freshmen Spring 08: 3.22 GPA
Sophomore Summer 08: 3.60 GPA

Will this change anything? What other measures should I take?

Thank you!
