university of arizona out of state transfer transfers

Is it more competitive for out of state transfers applying to UofA? Is it less competitive to transfer in the summer time? If I have all of the high school competency requirements completed am I likely to get in? Is being a minority have an effect admission? and lastly what is an ideal gpa for a out of state transfer?

can someone at least give me contact information to someone that can answer my questions?

from what i know, u of a isn’t a super competitive school to get into

being an URM always helps

they love out of state students because you pay $$$ in tuition/fees, etc.

im from az, and it’s always “more” competitive for nonresidents, but then again, i wouldn’t use u of a and competitive in the same sentence.

im not knocking u of a, in fact i was looking at it before asu offered my major (and before i got into another school).

taken from the website:
[Application questions | Freshmen | Admission Requirements | Admissions | UA](http://admissions.arizona.edu/requirements/faq.aspx)

*9. What are the average academic profiles of last year’s entering freshmen and transfer class?

The freshmen entering UA in the fall of 2006 had an average unweighted GPA of 3.36, an average combined SAT critical reading and math score of 1106, and an average ACT composite of 23.4. The average unweighted GPA for new transfers from two and
four year institutions is 3.2.*

you might want to peruse their website… i found this info in like 10 seconds

I found everything on my own except the average gpa for transfer students. I only found that you needed a 2.5 or higher to be considered. Thanks for that info.

I got rejected out of high school probably because my gpa was like 2.2 and my SAT was around 1500. Spent three years at another university applied with a 2.4 gpa and got excepted. I am an out of state student so that might of helped.
