U Mich GPA

how do you calculate that? i have a 3.67 UW at my school, what would that translate to? thanks

2.67 :-( .......

3.67 UW = 3.67 umich gpa

i don't know where that 2.67 came from UMrunner

oops, typo

3.67 UW isn't necessarily UM GPA...

sorry

if you mean 3.67 is your 9-11 GPA, then you have to recalculate it so that you only count in 10-11 for your GPA

your 10-11 school UW = your umich gpa

alright, thankyou

Wait a sec. UM GPA...
A=4
B=3
C=2

+'s and -'s don't mean anything (i.e. A- = A = 4)

and don't you need to take out all non-core classes like art and gym

i take it no weight is added to honors classes rightt? and why would they disclude freshman year?

because freshman year is three years ago and a lot of people weren't responsible or grown up enough back then to understand the importance of good grades and a good work ethic.... this should work to your advantage unless there was a negative trend in your sophomore or junior years

well i had a 4.0 freshman year, 3.6 freshman year, 3.5 junior year =(
freshman year i had no Aps
sophmore year i had 2
junior year i had 4

No weight is added to honors classes. Schedule difficulty is looked at separately. And yup, you take out classes like art and gym.

cJ1212, I had a similar trend and schedule change, but my GPA trend was mostly due to me "waking up" one day and realizing how dumb it was to concentrate on every little GPA point rather than opening my mind to things not offered in the school curriculum and actually expanding my mind.

At least, that's my excuse.

I do believe they will take note of the schedule change, so don't worry.

alright cool
and one last question before im on my way
is it possible to cancel any SAT score?
my ACT scores are really good, but i got 2 really high scores on the SAT Subject tests but a horiffic score on the third and a bad SAT I score
so can i cancel the bad subject test and SAT Is but keep the two good subject ones?

Subject tests don't matter much. Most of my friends at Michigan didn't even take them. They'll just use the ACT for their final decision. Don't worry about it.

alright so basically i should just forget all about my
Us history-740
Math I-740
Lit-520
SAT I-(1790)

and just keep my 30 Act?

I think so, although sending those scores may help more than hurt because of your high SAT II scores.

i got a 520 and a 1790...wouldnt that hurt a bit more?

They would ignore those. At least, that's what every college counselor has told me.

wait-im really sorry for sounding ignorant, but what do you mean theyd ignore them?
All i really want them to see is the 31 and two 740s how can i get to ignore the horrrrrrrrrrrrrible others?
