Can yall’ tell me what you thnk of University of Minnesota: Twin City? The good and the bad. :=)

Great cities, good school, huge student pop.

Anything else?

Personally I hate the school, I spent way too much of my high school life there - the West Bank is cool but I hate the EB and St. Paul campuses. BUT it's a really good school and is perfect for a lot of people.

The campus is too spread out...

I'm personally interested in this thread, too. I'll be applying to Minnesota in the fall. Glucose, some students have their own online community on livejournal.com where they answer questions and post pictures. They're really friendly and helped give me an idea of what the campus (as well as St.Paul) is like as a whole. I'm from Chicago.

Keep posting, people.

If I was to apply to U Minn. from out-of-state (TX), is there a way I could get a waiver, so that I wouldn't have to pay the OOS fee, but pay the in-state-fee?

What is U Minn known for?

glucose101,
they would only let you do that if they REALLY wanted you at their school or you demonstrated enough financial aid need.

on a more personal/biased note, you should DEFINITELY consider UT-Austin, being from Texas. It is incredibly cheap and, in my opinion, has a better reputation than UMinn (plus you won't freeze your butt off).
