I am a senior in high school and plan on going to Southern Illinois-carbondale for the next two years but i want to transfer to university of illinois-champaign. i am going to be registering for courses in a couple of weeks and i was just wondering....is it okay for me to mention to the academic advisors that i am transferring? Would they un-admit me or something?

Nope, you don't even have to tell them either. I'm just like you except I went to Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. I told them I wanted to transfer and its perfectly fine, advisors don't care.

oh cool what major are you? i was about to choose edwardsville but i chose carbondale instead

Finance or Accounting, I can't decide, I might do both.

I plan on going into Computer Engineering...I brought this whole topic up because i have to register for courses in a couple weeks and the courses that are required by U of I before transfer is different from what SIUC requires. For example, U of I requires you take Chemistry and Chemistry Lab but SIUC requires Biology....so i was hoping i could tell the advisor that i am transferring so they could help me out with signing up for courses

Yeah, just make sure every class transfer and you map the U of I 4-year plan. You can search for classes on U of I's website, just make sure they sound and look the same as the SIUC's classes, this is what I did.
