U Of Kentucky and U Of Oklahoma BS/MD Interviews

Hi All,

My son will have U of Kentucky interview on March/5 and U of Oklahoma interview on March/7.

Please give him some interview advices.

Thanks.

^^

 1. My S did not apply to any of the above programs, but we did visit Univ. of Kentucky & met with Dr. Bonner, the program co-director, as part of due diligence. My S liked the research facilities offered at the University. Dr. Bonner was very gracious and supportive of BS/MD students. Although my S did not apply, the impression we received during our visit was that they are looking for a few good BS/MD students: So long as a potential candidate comes across as genuine and has the credentials & medical related experience, he/she should expect to be selected.

Don’t know much about Oklahoma’s BS/MD program, other than that it requires the undergraduate to be well grounded in Humanities/Liberal Arts. They do have a great opportunities for National Merit Finalists.

Good luck to your S as he pursues these opportunities.

I’m applying to UK’s program as well! My interview is this Friday. This is my first BS/MD interview, so I don’t really know what to expect…can anyone give any advice?

My son has an interview at Oklahoma on the 7th too, we are from Michigan. Where are you from?

Good luck to you! You must have the stellar stats to get the interview from Caltech/UCSD Medical Scholars (from your “Interview Advice” post today!).
