Daughter just got called up off the Villanova waitlist. Mind had been set on Miami. We'd love some help with this decision. Thanks!

They are pretty different. Cold weather vs. warm weather. 6,000 students vs. 15,000. I assume Miami is probably less expensive. What major/college? That might help for some advice.

Thank you, Joe. Arts and Sciences with a major in psychology (hoping to change that. Villanova definitely more expensive, but manageable.

I’m sorry, I do not know very much about the psychology department here at nova. I’m in engineering so I don’t know a single professor in the department. However, if you go to the website, I’m sure if you had any questions, you could email one of the professors and the department and they would be happy to answer any questions you have (though it might take a week since it is finals week and grades are due on Monday). If you have any general questions on Villanova, feel free to ask. I’ve never been to U of Miami though so I can’t do much comparing.

Thanks Joe. Will there be students on campus this Monday? We should make another visit.

You probably won’t see much of anyone. Finals end on Friday and everyone is supposed to be out of the dorms by Saturday afternoon. Seniors will still be there for the next week for graduation and Senior Week and some people helping out with that or doing something else might be there as well, but the majority of campus will be dead. I think most of the summer programs don’t start until closer to the end of May. So it probably is not the best time to visit, but at least you can see the campus.
