U of Mich visit options

I tried to find out from the admissions websites but I wasn't able to get the info without setting up an account as a prospective applicant, but perhaps someone can clarify here?

Does U of Mich offer on-campus interviews?

Do they offer the option to sit in on classes?

Can an applicant sit in on honors classes?

Do they offer tours/info sessions on Saturdays in October?

Thanks in advance.

The tour/info session is offered every Saturday in October. It lasts about 2 1/2 hours. I don’t think they offer interviews but you could call the admissions office and ask. They will make someone available to answer your questions.

I don’t think there is a formal program to sit in on classes but it usually isn’t a problem if you email the professor in advance to let you know you plan to attend. The course guide is available on-line. Saturday would not be a good day to do this.

As I recall, you need to make a reservation online to go on the info-session/tour. I agree with res ipsa, try to do the tour on a weekday when you can get a better idea of campus life and do email the professor if there’s a class you want to observe (check the online class catalog). Also, visiting campus on a football game day can be a bit chaotic…unless you are there to go to the game.

They don’t schedule interviews, but there was a wonderful person from admissions that sat down with us after the info-session who was very helpful.
