U of South Carolina Frosh Housing Opinions

Thoughts/opinions on the best housing dorms/halls for incoming freshman. Thanks

My daughter is a junior at U of SC. She ended up at Wade Hampton in the women’s quad, which wasn’t even on her list. Pros: it has been newly renovated, which means no mold. Two girls in a room, 2 or 3 rooms share a bathroom.
Cons: The rooms that share a bathroom don’t really have a common area (though my dd was in a 3 room suite which may be differnt than the 2 room ones) and did therefore not encourage socializing. The security is great, but also not great, because my daughter had to walk through 2 locked doors to get to her room, and that didn’t promote meeting people on the hall. I know the kids all like the semi private bathrooms, but I think she would have made friends faster in the old fashioned hall dorms.
