Got into the accelerated pharmacy program for University of the Pacific with a $10k annual scholarship and UC Santa Barbara.

I got wait-listed at UCI, which is probably a rejection.

My parents barely don't qualify for financial aid and are also paying for my sister's tuition at UCI.

I'm not sure if moving out would be best financially and since it's just for undergrad school, but I don't really know.

I wish I applied to some cal states, but my parents were keen on me going into a UC.

Any advice?

Since you are concerned about cost, you need to calculate the net cost of each option, figure out what your parents will pay, and how much debt each option would mean.

Pacific is a fine school and the accelerated program is great, as long as you don’t change your mind. But Pacific is a private college. Thus, you have to count up the $$ for 6 years at Pacific vs. 4+4 somewhere else.

Does anybody know how hard University of the Pacific is? I’m in the 3+3 program, but I’m concerned that I may not even make it into the pharmacy program.
