I am Korean international student who got accepted to U. of Washington Seattle,
Syracuse U. , and Boston U. I am interested in studying international relations, law, political science, international affair, maybe......business? not sure.
Which school is the best school for these field of study?

Also, I find myself so obsessed with US news national college ranks, and according to the ranking, U. of Washington is the best. Is there huge difference between rank 42 school and rank 52?

Oh, and which school is the best in popularity wise?
and which school is the best in transferring to another school?

Personally, I would eliminate Syracuse and choose between Washington and BU.

Obviously Seattle is closer to Korea than Boston, and I think you’ll find more ties to Asia in the Pacific Northwest. On the other hand, Boston is probably a better college town simply by virtue of having over 250,000 college students living in the city. It is also closer to the think tanks in Washington if you do decide to do internships in government and/or international relations (you should). Tough call, but personally I would pick BU.

I am also Korean and will be going to BU this fall!
I’ve heard some negative things about UW from my friends, relatives, etc…
I heard that BU’s international relations is some what good (not sure tho).
But Boston is probably a better town because over 250,000 college students living in the city…
I would prefer BU than UW or Syracuse

i would choose UW if i were you. in terms of ranking… it doesn’t matter. 42 is not much different from 52.

this is just speculation on my part but if you’re an average student at BU, you’re not going to have much luck finding internships in the area with schools like MIT, Harvard, Tufts, BC, etc in the area. On the other hand, UW is king in seattle. it’s just another thing to take into account.
