Hi, I was just wondering:

If you live abroad in another country, but are a U.S. citizen, would you be in the international pool or the u.s. pool? I ask, because, frankly, the international pool admissions rate is dead depressing. It would make a huge difference, I'm thinking.

Thanks.

I think it depends on where you studied…because even though you’re american, you studied in a different system right? I’d suggest calling the admissions office and checking. and, besides, there would be no harm applying. the RD acceptance rate is also dead depressing. It’s a drop from 30% to 12% or something of that sort!

I think for most schools it would be the US pool if you are a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
