Your ECs and experiences are amazing and definitely sets you apart from other applicants. Also, the fact that you’re graduating at 16 is pretty cool. However, from what I’ve read about Canadian universities, the admissions officers look more so at stats than accomplishments ((not sure how accurate this is)). I did a little research and I still think that you will get into most of them if not all. Also, while doing my research, I found out that Ivey is a school at Western not Queen’s (unless I’m having a serious brain lapse which is a very real possibility lol) so I’m not quite sure what you mean by Queen’s (Ivey). Anyway, good luck!

Queens(Ivey) doesn’t exist. You might be thinking of the Ivey school at the University of Western Ontario. Canadian schools normally look at grades for the most part.

UBC Sauder is the more accomplishments-heavy school of the gang, Queen’s is also quite accomplishments-heavy but UWO Ivey is not as much,

UBC Sauder: Safety
U Toronto Rotman: Low match/Match
Queen’s: Low match/Match
UWO Ivey: Low match
McGill Desautels: Safety

I hope you have 5+ on Math HL or 6+ on Math SL (in fact, you may earn transfer credit at UBC with 6+ on Math HL) or else the chances above won’t hold.

Canadian schools, except for UBC, don’t really care about extracurriculars at all…in fact they mostly look at grade 12 (maybe grade 11) percentages. In fact they don’t really care about APs (likely IB too then) either, so I’d ditch those if I were you. It’s all about those lovely 90s digits.

I’ve lived in Canada my entire life, and I’ve heard most of the rumors that circulate. I also have an excellent university counsellors sector in my school. So the gist of it is that U of T is easy to get into, but hard to stay in. Mcgill loves high high percentages and UBC is the odd one out who looks at you more holistically; they pay attention to extracurriculars too, which is an advantage for you.

Nonetheless, your extracurriculars are exceptional. Coming from Spain and being only 16 are hooks for you too. Weird advice, but when you write your ontario application, don’t list them in ‘activities.’ Careful with the instructions; it’s not extracurriculars so much as ‘I actually graduated 5 years ago and have worked as _____/ travelled the world.’

Ivey School of Business is definitely in Western University haha, but its a decent school in London Ontario. Lovely campus.

Good luck and hopefully, we’ll both make it to one of these schools. Boost up that GPA. Queens can be a safety. U of T match. Mcgill and UBC might be reach to match.

Sorry guys, meant Queen’s Commerce, not Western (Ivey).

I’ve been predicted a 6 on MATH SL, how much difference would, a predicted 5 on SL do for example?
