First, people come on these venues to hear answers, not encounter indifference. Thats why I assert my opinion, and for no other reason. In fact, my mother is a professor at UofT so Im not here to bash the school. I do not discredit the school at all. Its graduate programs are in a league of their own in Canada. Simply put, undergrad offers nothing special. I would pick at least 10 schools in Canada over UofT for undergrad. Then again, some people prefer the lack of community, "on your own" mentality that was previously discussed. Some people might prefer the huge courses and the grade deflation. Some people might prefer the lack of an athletic stadium. However, the library is exponentially better than most other unis. And downtown Toronto is nice.

Also, if youve read my "previous posts, discrediting uoft", try reading them again. The only other time Ive discussed UofT was in comparison between Queens Comm and UofT comm. There just isnt really a comparison in terms of reputation, quality, selectivity, etc. Queens is in the top tier (top 3) while UofT is in the 2nd tier (next 3). This doesnt quite match your defintion of "discredit". UofT comm is still one of the best in Canada....people need to chill on these boards.
