Upon entering high school I didn't think ahead to college [particularly UC] admissions and didn't enroll in any language classes. I was already bilingual and felt that my full literacy in another language would suffice [my mother got into UCI by taking a 'conversation test' with a teacher fluent in Armenian].

However, I soon realized that actually taking a course in a language was part of UC admissions standards. I didn't take any classes in school, but I did enroll for and complete a semester of German in a local JC. The catalog for the JC stated that the course was worth 2 years of HS language.

Now that college admissions are coming around, I'm a little worried! Will I still be ok in UC a-g system? How valid is my compensating coursework?
