UC and CSU

Hi, so I got my SAT score back and I received a 1750. So along with my 3.2 UC/CSU gpa I have this score so I was wondering which school would most likely accept me for both UC’s and CSUs? Specifically for UC I want to get into UCSC and for CSU - cal poly pomona.

thanks.

incorporate you’re freshmen year into you’re Cal poly GPA assuming it increases you to a 3.4 to 3.5 Cal Poly Pomona would be a match(assuming youre not applying for engineering) UCSC is a high reach

Your best chance at a UC would be Merced followed by Riverside. Cal poly SLO uses 9th grades in their GPA calculation not Pomona. UCSC is a Reach based on stats. Your GPA and test scores make the top CSU’s (SLO,SDSU, CSULB,CPP, CSUF) out of Reach but you should look at SFSU, Sac State, Northridge, Humboldt, San Marcos, Fresno, San Bernardino, Sonoma, SJSU and at least one non-impacted campus as a safety (Dominguez Hills, East Bay, Stanislaus, Bakersfield).

Calculate your Eligibility index: (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math + CR)
The CSU’s use the EI to rank applicants for each major. Intended major will make a difference on the EI thresholds.
SJSU is the only CSU that publishes their EI thresholds each year. You can use it as a guide for your chances.

@Gumbymom earlier on my other thread you said CPP was a match?

Sorry, my mistake. I didn’t not mean to put CPP in as a Reach unless your intended major is Engineering and some of the impacted sciences such as Environmental Biology/Animal Science/Biotechnology or Architecture.
I do not believe you have posted your intended major??

I applied to CPP under History (BA)

btw my gpa is 3.25 not 3.2 if that makes a difference

Also I didn’t include my 9th grade grades for slo , will they recalculate the gpa?

SLO will recalculate your GPA since they are the only CSU that uses 9th grades in their GPA calculation.
