So I read somewhere on this website that taking AP physics/chem won’t get you out of any classes for the CS major. But the UC website says each class will give you 5.3 semester credits/8 qtr credits! Those credits do exist, don’t they? Just deciding what AP class(es) to take besides Calc BC. AP physics and/or AP lang?? Not sure if I could handle 3 APs. And is it better to take AP CS if I want to major in CS??
Each UC has their own criteria for how they apply AP credit.
UC has a systemwide policy about how many credit units each AP score gives.
However, each campus (and sometimes division or major) has its own policy on what each AP score gives for subject credit and advanced placement. These should be findable on the web sites.
