Hello! So on my UC APP as I was filling out the grades portion, I accidentally put the titles for my classes as "Chem1A" instead of General Chemistry 1A and "Chem51A" instead of Organic a Chemistry 51A. Should I call them?? I feel like this could be a major error.

This happened to me too!! Well with a different course& I didn’t notice until after I got rejected from a UC (it’s ok I appealed lol) you have to call each individual UC admissions office and tell them that you messed up on your reported your courses. I know for UCI (I just did this last week) they want you to login to your uci account and message the counselor. They want you to be REALLLLLLY SPECIFIC too. Below is what I wrote and pretty much what they want to see. Super clear and cut.

"The course mistake was made at LANEY COLLEGE for FALL 2011 SEMESTER.

I accidentally input a Women Studies course when
in actuality I took a Physical Science course.
The specifics for each course is stated below.

MISTAKE ON APPLICATION
Dept: Women Studies
Course No: 52
Course Title: Women and Cinema
Units: 3
Grade: C

CORRECT COURSE
Dept: Physical Science
Course No: 20
Course Title: Introduction to Marine Environment
Units: 3
Grade: C

GOODLUCK!!

No this is not a major error in my opinion… This is a small typo. I doubt it would have any effect on decisions. You might want to notify whichever school you decide to attend, just so they know the courses will appear slightly different on your transcript. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over this though. Just my opinion.

@music1990 - If it weren’t a core IGETC class that wasn’t entered then sure, but I think it would effect a decision if you’re a borderline applicant and if you said you’d have IGETC certified if you didn’t say you’d get IGETC certified then don’t worry about it and just try to do the TAU I believe you can still update it for a couple more days.

@Matt4200
I get what you’re saying. I’m pretty sure we can no longer update the TAU, because I was on there today and it didn’t seem possible.

I just think it would be pretty easy for them to see what class she was referring to, especially since she included the department and the class number, which is the only information they really need. But maybe you’re right.
