<p>Less paperwork to go over. You put in your grades and they probably have some formula the computer uses to weed out the ones with a certain GPA/SAT/ACT score. Then after that they read your statements and admit you. Only then you send in your transcripts to verify that what you put on your application is true and correct.</p>
