3.45 UC GPA (horrible i know)

SAT 1820 (horrible i know again)
i only got into ucsc but i want to appeal to UC Davis/ UC Irvine

what id talk about in my appeal thats "new and compelling" is how when i was little i was in foster care/ adoption and somehow connect that with how my sophmore/junior year my father got really ill which is why my grades weren't so good and sat score lacked.

I didn't talk about this at all in the real application.

do i have atleast a chance? or should i not even appeal?

Well you have nothing to lose (it's not like they can double reject you), so if you really want to go to UCD or UCI, then write them an appeal letter. I would also suggest including some reassertion of your capabilities and your choice of them as one of your top schools in your letter. But yes, I think maybe telling them about the experience would make for a compelling appeal. But >_> maybe get a second opinion b/c I've never appealed to anything before xD

yeah i guess i ll try, oh and i have documentational stuff about my fostercare/adoption/ father's sickness that i think i might send
