So, unfortunately, I was rejected from a bunch of UC's (Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Davis, San Diego, LA, and Berkeley) I never really had high hopes for Cal, LA, and SD but I thought I was a shoe-in for Santa Cruz. But after reading through my application, I realized I had made a mistake by reporting Calculus AB for both my junior and senior years when I took AB last year and AP Calculus BC this year.

As for new and significant information, my parents have a bigger financial hardship because they are now sending funds to family overseas because their house was damaged in a tropical storm along with paying for my sister's UC Davis fees and rent.

I'm elaborating on why there's a strain on my parent's relationship (which I couldn't do in my PS because of the word count): my dad's parents never liked my mom, and their resentment in her resulted in favoring my cousins over me and my sisters.

Also, I didn't mention that I was invited to the National Society of High School Scholars and the NYLF on Medicine at George Mason University.

I'm enrolled in Coursera's Introduction to Mathematical Thinking, a free online course given by a professor from Stanford. I'm also taking 6 AP exams (self studying for AP Psych -which is my major)

I'm currently tutoring 2 more students in Algebra (in my original app, I was only tutoring 1 at the time)

That's pretty much all I have for my appeal. Love it? Hate it? Do I have a chance?

Just some background info:

Honors*/AP Courses I have taken: I have taken AP World (3), AP Lang/Comp (4), APUSH (3), AP Calc AB (3), AP Bio (4), Honors Spanish 3 and am currently taking AP Calc BC, AP Physics B, AP Lit/Comp, AP US Govt, AP Macro Econ, and Honors Physio and Anatomy

Weighted GPA: 3.8

SAT: 1680 (pretty low, I know :( )

Extra Curriculars: tutor for 2 years to elementary school kids at their after school program, marching band for 2 years (won first place at the Western Band Associations both years), Math mentor for 3 high school students, Member of the Pre-Med and Vitality Club, CPR Certified

Pretty much it. :) Thanks!

*Honors courses that I've taken that I know count as college credit at UC's. (Not sure about Honors English 1 and 2, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Pre-Calculus or Honors Bio)
