Duno, but I went to 2 different ccc too. I attended one for 2 years in 05, and started attended my current one in 09. If there are any changes to your planned courses, or if you received a D or F in any of them than I believe you must notify them.

Is it a bad idea to become a part-time student, 8 units, on the Spring before you transfer

^ No, not unless you need full time for insurance purposes or something like that. As far as the UC’s are concerned, there is nothing wrong with taking <12 units or even taking it off if you already have all requirements met by Fall.

@ moon9kittie: So I called the admissions office today(luckily they are open this week) and they told me that mt.sac doesn’t submit the GPA verification form electronically. Did they tell you the same thing? Would I be better off getting them to verify it or whatever it is they do, and have it sent UPS overnight myself?

So I drove all the way to school today to submit my GPA verification form. They said they should send it electronically if you have over 24 units. They also had me fill out a separate form to mail the GPA verification “just in case” it doesn’t make it through electronically…whatever that means.

@iDizzle: sorry, did not see your post earlier. you second post is exactly what they said to me. They told me they will sent the GPA form electronically this week, if they do not, do it manually next week. I’m definitely not sure why they said that in your first post.

when should I apply to be IGETC certified? how long does it take? my school sent out an email today that the deadline for associate degree applications is march 2nd do you guys think the deadline will be the same for IGETC?

^ Well, if you have any classes this semester that are part of IGETC you can’t get certification until your spring grades are in. If you apply when your spring grades are in, that will be plenty of time for the July 15th deadline the UC’s have. AA deadline =/= IGETC Certification.

If you are transferring to a 4 year then the chances are likely that you qualify for an associates degree.

@moon9kittie: When I was at admissions today, they told me that they had not sent out the GPA verification stuff yet. I think they said it would be done at the end of the week. They gave me someone to contact directly on Friday just to double check.

@ uchappytrain: I believe your supposed to get IGETC certification right before you submit your SIR to whatever school you decide to attend.

edit sorry, i just asked my brother. You can get igetc certified whenever you’re done. I should have done it a while ago than to get it out of the way.

I just submitted my fafsa, how do i submit a gpa verification form?

how do i know if my school will send the gpa verification electonically? and for the cal grant, am i suppose to make an account after the gpa verification of whenever?

you ask your school financial aid office. They probably send it auto but you want to make sure. If you sign up on the web grants web site, it will tell you if your school automatically sent your info already and show if it was sent in past years.

<a href=“CSAC - Student Landing Home”>CSAC - Student Landing Home;

^^^ +1.

Check with your school. Fill out the form and give it to them and if they don’t send it electronically, you’ll have to mail it(or have the school mail it) to the Financial Aid Commission.

So my Winter grades just got posted. Should I update these with the TAU or should I just wait until we submit updates in July?

Update them if you have 'em. That’s what I did. Either way, you’ll have to submit transcripts and whatnot in July - but it takes all of 5 min to enter them, so you might as well, right?

^^ true, but I got a B. It’s going to drag down my GPA =[. I know its past the TAU deadline but I hope they don’t look at it. Until after decisions are made. lol

^Then if i were you, i wouldn’t update TAU

@ UCkittychen: Do you find it odd that SFSU hasn’t asked for any transcripts or documentation since being accepted? Or have you been asked to submit them already?
