I can also vouch for how stringent Berkeley is on the GPA requirement; I know someone who tried to get ahead by taking two classes ahead of schedule via the transfer edge program. The two classes (Math 110 and Math 104) ended up being much more than he can handle during summer and he got a C in one of them. He got rescinded and eventually readmitted on appeal, but it was a messy affair.
@blsUCtransfer I’m going to. My dad said don’t do it on the last day just in case of some misfortune. But I hate to shorten the time I can spend with my essays.
Someone please help I’m using assist to figure out classes and there are two columns and I’m confused on what they mean is it three classes or 6 classes
@Pinkponylife The left column shows the classes required at the university you’re transferring to. The right column shows what those classes articulate to at your current college.
Send me the link to the assist page and I’ll help you further.

I’m a political science major and I received an F in Trigonometry. I retook it for a PS. I know it doesn’t transfer, but my overall GPA is a 3.7. Thoughts?
@skatergirl98 I mean its not great, but honestly its not part of your major gpa and if you have good essays, ecs, etc, you should be fine? ALTHOUGH if you do have a reason for not doing so well in that class explain in your additional comments
@skatergirl98 If it doesn’t transfer they won’t care - except if they’re looking to assess your math skills and there isn’t much else up there. I know UCSB assesses math, even remedial, if there is no other math. But you passed, so it should be fine.
UCLA looks at major GPA. It’s the only UC that does, although a handful of highly selective majors on other campuses may.
