HELP NEEDED!
I’m in CC right now, Business Admin Major. I really want to go to Berkeley, it’s my dream school and plus it’s great for business. I’m new to college, so I need advice planning.
Is it possible to get rejected with a 4.0 GPA?
What ECs should I do to increase my chances?
Is there any way to guarantee admission?
Do I need to take any honors classes?
Last question: I’m not sure exactly how hard Berkeley is exactly, I only want to put in all this effort if I am basically guaranteed (of course, i know there is no way to actually guarantee it). But you know like Uc Irvine, you can basically get it with a 4.0, what are these types of guarantee-ers for Berkeley. If it’s way too hard, I’ll just give up and aim for CSUF instead, please tell me about the prestige of this school too if you can. I love the CSUF business program, and it’s near me too, but because UC’s are more superior, I feel like an underachiever going there. I’m in love with the building and the curriculum but again… SOCIAL PRESSURE.
I’m positive the seeing the “admit notification” means nothing, as well as the other notifications/tasks. But I promise that the addresses mean something. Mostly because last year or the year before that was how people knew they got in.
Also, maybe you guys can try looking up your name in the directory? http://www.berkeley.edu/directory you should be able to see your name if you are a uc berkeley student, but perhaps they don’t update it until after SIRs (my name didn’t come up)
@Ri_Ri54 there’s nothing underachieving about going to a non-UC. Also, you will definitely get it. I don’t see you getting rejected at all, unless you filled out something wrong on the application which happens more than you’d think
@smarterstudents that doesn’t sound right, there was someone with 3 addresses as well (not sure if trolling). Also, I couldn’t find anyone in last years thread talking about 4 addresses
@smarterstudents I just saw myself on the directory but that may be because I chose summer student. I think people should try to find their names. I also saw the admit thing on my calcentral page.
I’ll try to find it in the past years! People’s profiles had 2 addresses of each (mailing and permanent), and closer to admission decisions, they changed back to one address of each.
FYI I took classes at Cal via cross-enrollment so I have a Cal ID. A few of those notifications are automatically created for new accounts. I just checked and I only have one right now, titled “New Admit Tours”.
