I got off the waitlist! (In State, L&A).
I have a question, the page says that the housing app is due on 5/7 while the other deadlines say 5/13. Is it too late for housing? are there other ways to get housing at Cal?
Also, I can’t fill out the housing app until I submit my SIR, but my friend who got in for regular says processing takes two days.

Common. Ask the admission counselor or the ppl in fb page.
As far as I know, NO OOS students were admitted from the UCB CC page this wave. Has anyone heard of an OOS student being accepted the first wave, outside of CC? If not, we can all speculate that the next wave/waves will admit OOS candidates.

Does this mean they are done accepting wait listed students to College of Letters and Science?

I got the call yesterday that I’m in. They say 5/13 is the deadline for SIR, Payment and residence declaration. Specifically does that mean 11:59pm 5/13/15? I’m in the middle of AP tests and I want to make another visit to the campus and the extra day would actually help with scheduling the visit. Need to choose between BS Comp Sci UCSD vs BA L&S UCB with intent to become CS major.
I got accepted but required to go to FPF (or Global London or January Start), but the FPF has 0 slots! It almost feels like I really did not get in at all. Any advice?
@Whomda Can’t you just do January Start? I mean…what’s so bad about it?
And the exact answer from the office is: the SIR is due before midnight of May 13th, the end of the day, 23:59:59.999…
The answer is the same for the housing application.
Could anybody comment on the number of waitlisted candidates this year, also the number of opt ins?
In mine they just said FPF isn’t available any more, all filled up. “The Fall Program for Freshmen is now full. If you would like to add your name to the wait list, first submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). When you are finished, click on the “Register for the Fall Program for Freshmen” link again.” Does that mean I’m just more on my own to fend for myself? Has anyone on here been through FPF? What will I be missing?? If I don’t hear back in this thread perhaps I’ll start a new one on this.
Post #132, my daughter’s best friend was in the same situation 2 years ago but she was able to live off campus. If you want to go to Cal, do not let that hinders you.
My nephew also got off the waitlist from in state a couple days ago.
Post 132#, my son got off the waitlist the day before and he immediately SIR’d…at the time FPF had only about 10 spots left and he hurried up and registered and got a confirmation. He mentioned that by the time he was done there were only a couple of spots left…good luck with your decision…check out the details for the spring entry and global edge program at UCB website.
So my daughter came back home for Mother’s Day and her friend stayed very close to campus but not part of Berkeley housing. The name is Welesley house for female. So look for so etching similar for male.

As a waitlist candidate still waiting for the next wave, I wonder if they will give out new FPF slots every wave. Anybody know anything about this?
