@scarletwitchx if one is accepted in undeclared engg and applied science inUCLA then is thr a chance in undeclared engg at berkely. LA takes 120 in undeclared engg and berkely takes 92…approx.
@voltthorn Why not try to develop an algorithm that predicts based on certain variables (a quantitative approach) ? May be you can get rich by selling your services to predict admission chances and calm everyone (of course with money back guarantee).
Do you think Physics is as selective as other majors e.g. any engineering?
applied Undeclared Engineering; giving up now
@toastiecheez All the letter and science majors are probably the same, which are not as selective as engineering.
@b4sicallyid0work why giving up
@USUG21 undeclared engineering is the hardest major to get into, and I know I’m not that great (+I’m OOS and technically missing a requirement)
I feel you. I am in the same situation lol. Ive lost my hope.
guys need your help. I am a prospective business major and I applied to UC Berkeley(no fid aid), Yale (70%fin. aid), UPenn (no fin. aid) and Cornell (75% fin. aid). I have also applied to MIT(waitlisted), JHU(accepted), Northwestern(accepted), UCLA(accepted), UChicago(waitlisted), Duke(do not know yet) and NC Chapel Hill(do not know yet), but I am really interested in these 4. If I will get into all 4. Which one to choose? I would have picked Yale if it offered business majors, UC Berkeley only starts to teach business after a sophomore year, Cornell’s Dyson school is not a very strong business school. Wharton is clearly winning, but I have to pay a full tuition… What do I do?
@azimusa2010 I think you are intelligent enough to figure it out yourself… but I think you should go to Yale!
@azimusa2010 If you can get in and afford it, go for your dream school. You live only once. No one else can decide for you.
Hi everyone! Is it true that if you get into UCLA that you aren’t gonna get into UC Berkeley or vice versa? A couple of the top students at my school got into Berkeley and UCLA, but I got a LOR request from Berkeley and I was accepted to UCLA, UCD, UCSD, UCR, UCI, and UCSC. Does this mean anything?
let me know! Thanks
@Foodlover228579 UCLA and UCB admissions are completely separate from each other, so being accepted to UCLA does not impact your chances at UCB.
Both my students got into both UCB and UCLA, so no, they don’t effect each other.
@yuccatree @prepparent Thank you so much!
Did everyone receive an email like this back in Feb?
We realize you’ve been anxiously awaiting your decision from UC Berkeley and want to let you know that your application is currently under review.
While you may have heard that a few applicants received notification of their decision, the majority of applications, like yours, are still under review.
I got an email like that
@anxious98 - I received that email last month too. . . Still haven’t heard back yet at all.
I got one like that
@anxious98 Yeah same here. I think it’s just their blanket e-mail to applicants that did not receive an early acceptance? But I could be wrong
