Excited for the 30th but I’m pretty sure on that day I’m going to see my rejection letter from my dream school 
I am just trying to read the tea leaves and hoping. I received an email from the science dept from UCSC well after I applied and I was admitted. Not everyone got that email from UCSC, so I was just testing the waters for Berkeley. I am grasping at anything 
To pass the time, why is Cal your dream school or one of the top schools you’d like to attend.
Berkeley being the top school for CS.

Seems like everyone in this thread is a STEM major lol. I’m in the social sciences, and Berkeley has honestly been my dream school for years. I’m already familiar with the community there and love the atmosphere.
@roonilwazlib100 I’m in the social sciences as well! Do you know a lot about the social sciences at Berkeley?

Cal because of its CS department and it’s in California. I want to end up working there anyway.
Just wondering if all those that want to work in Bay Area, have considered the living costs out here. It literally has gotten silly expensive.
So ever since the regents people got their acceptances, my portal says status update but it’s just text and nothing happens when I click it (I haven’t received my decision btw). Any other applicants have this?

Thanks for the responses as to why, but besides the rankings any other reasons?
@Jliu32472 Great point. Making six figures still gets you an apartment with roomates and an hour commute in Silicon Valley so I’ve read.
