@Nhatrang thanks! I can share with you my S2’s stats: ACT 36, Sat Math/Physica 800/800, 4.6 weighted GPA, captain of varsity sports, short term overseas missions every summer. But keep in mind, he’s just one single sample. After the notice, he went through an interview where he was asked mostly personal, not technical, questions. The final result came out, I think, at regular acceptance in March. The biggest perk for him as a regents scholar, outside of the money, is to enroll in classes earlier. He’s also a regents scholar at UCLA, but not UCSD and UCSC, so I guess each school has didffferng criteria.
@sdhotmama around what time did your sons find out? Do you think it will come out this Friday? If so, what time?
@kerlykerls I think it’s between 3-3:30 pm PST. I guess it’s likely the result will come out this Friday, based on the history of the past couple of years, but there’s no guarantee. Good luck!
I called admissions yesterday and the lady wouldn’t give me much info about it. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow
Are the portals expected to be updated tomorrow or do people get emails informing them about Regents?
You’d get an email congratulating you about your admission and your regents candidacy
Also for the 4 addresses, the old thread talked about going on your MAP@BERKELEY and seeing 4 home addresses a couple of days before the admissions decisions were released and the student who was accepted had 4 home addresses while some people only had two and they didn’t get in. So the student said having 4 addresses on the admission portal was a good sign. However, upon further reading, there were a lot of people who had only two addresses on their portal instead of four and still got in. There were also people who only had 2 and didn’t get in. I’m not sure it’s a good indicator to see who’s in or who isn’t. But it sure is nerve-racking to keep checking.
@mad1419 Thabks
I have 2 mailing addresses and 2 permanent addresses in my portal, both of which are my home address. Is this the same for others?
So what are your stats: GPA and SAT?
10 bucks that the address hype is just as false as the pathway hype
Not expecting to get in this round, but doesn’t mean I won’t be checking every 2 minutes tomorrow!
@nigeluno Most likely lol
Yeah my address went to four and i’m a transfer student.
Here’s a results thread if decisions do end up coming out today
Never mind. I found what you guys are talking about.

Does anyone know what percent of applicants are likely to get regents and typical stats or cutoffs?
From what I’ve heard, there are no typical stats for regents, just admissions officers picking out people that stand out to them whilst reading applications. Only 2% get accepted for candidacy for regents out of all the applicants and out of that I’m not entirely sure how many they pick for the actual scholarship
