@SB0112 You don’t have to be concerned if it says May 1st still, it doesn’t mean they forgot to read your appeal or anything, it just means that they rejected your appeal.

@mojopotato ■■■?? Are you serious??

@mojopotato Mine still says May 1st- I don’t(hopefully) think that necessarily insinuates that those people had already been rejected because my portal had been saying the same thing since my appeal submission, which was 4/7. Correct me if I am wrong.

No way, mine still says May 1st too…

They started this week reviewing appeals.

@surpris3 And how do you know that?

@cmztreeter007 Because a lady that helped me with my applications used to work in berkeley admissions and as a favor called the office and they told her.

@surpris3 LOL that’s the vaguest, most fabricated explanation I have heard. I really doubt you’re right.

My appeal still says May 1st, so I’m just going to wait until I hear an official response from Berkeley.

Is no one going to call out Mojo for being such a jerk? Or demand to know where they got their information? There’s no way that’s true, people had their’s changed the morning of May 2nd, there’s no way they reviewed every single app in 24 hours. More than that, this is Cal. Would they do something so blatantly obvious? Don’t worry if it still says May 1st, it’s some kind of clerical laziness or randomness. You’ll see. More than that though, Mojo, that was horrible of you. “don’t worry, it doesn’t meant they haven’t read it, it just means you didn’t get in.” this is something that is incredily inportant to lots of people, people have spent weeks worrying. I don’t think I’ve seen anything more childish, vindictive, and cruel here on these forums. You should be ashamed of yourself.

lol it was a joke, i thought the sarcasm was obvious

C’mon, this is the Internet. Sarcasm doesn’t translate. Besides, 1. You had yours changed to the 15th, so it was a bit hard to tell, 2. How in the world was that sarcastic? 3. Even if it was, doesn’t stop you being a jerk. It may be funny, having had yours changed, but for the rest of us? Not a whole lot of kneesslapping going on when someone says that we aren’t going to get in and it makes perfect sense. Just think more next time. When someone’s nervous about something, and you don’t think it’s something to worry about, tell them. Don’t make jokes at their expense.

C’mon, this is the Internet. Why would you take anyone’s post so seriously that they said you got rejected, obviously nobody knows except for Berkeley who got in and who didn’t, no one knows why some people’s says 15 some says 1st, don’t take everything so seriously on the Internet man…

Because some of us don’t have the luxury in believing in ourselves, and when you point out that you probably got in instead of us, and back it up with something we’ve been worrying about anyway, it’s rather crushing. Also, this isn’t reddit, people are supposed to be a bit kinder. Besides, me being oversensitive doesn’t give you the right to reply to someone’s worried question with “yeah, you suck, I got in not you.” if no one knows, why would you say something mean that everyone’s thinking? Yes. I overreact. It’s true. But you, mon ami, are a jerk. Or at the very least you should think a little more before putting yourself out into conversation. It’s not even that I thought you somehow knew, of course not, you’re just a kid in front of a screen, but that it made me worry that the somehow /was/ the reason, and that you were somehow right. Because obviously I’d never believe you.

You’re still taking things too seriously, I wasn’t saying “I got in you didn’t”, in fact I don’t even know if I got in or not. Most likely its just a small bug in their system, and has nothing to do with whether or not anyone got in. Its just a joke man, chill.

All drama aside, any of you find out when exactly the results will be out? I have been holding off my housing applicationa nd stuff and it’s getting annoying

Same. It’s almost getting too late to hold off those applications anymore. I wish if I get in, but even rejection might be welcomed at this point.

So for everybody here on this blog, what is your second choice university if Berkeley doesn’t work out?

@qlrp2012 I agree. I’ve already had to submit a housing contract and I’m probably going to sign up for orientation today.

@darknight2020 UC San Diego

LOL I like how when I share all the information I know have received to help others in the same boat as myself, because i understand how stressful it is I basically get called a liar. Honestly I understand that everyone is frustrated but no reason to start attacking each other. The information I received is accurate. @snuffles36

@darknight2020 UC Davis

UC San Diego though!!!
