Hello everyone! I attended an admissions presentation and campus tour at Cal yesterday. I got a chance to speak 1-on-1 with an admissions counselor. He essentially told me that as a transfer student I am much more likely to get accepted (that is, if I get accepted) as a spring admittee. He also stated that the admission office is trying to release decisions prior to June 1st.
UC Berkeley Office of Undergraduate Admissions was closed today. I wonder if that means more waitlists / first appeals will be released soon?

Some officer I just talked to on the phone said that they’re doing waitlists right now, and that the message online by June 1st should be disregarded (as they’ll probably come out in early/mid/late June.) >.>
Coming out in June!? I hope that doesn’t actually happen…
Wait so when are you officially considered a student and can’t switch colleges anymore? I’m heading to UCSD if Berkeley doesn’t accept me, but if Berkeley is coming out in June, will it be too late to switch to Berkeley if they accept me?
@xylores I don’t think you’re officially a student until you enroll in your classes closer to when the quarter begins.
I think they will send it before June 1st. Last year they sent it tight before the deadline. We will probably hear back from them by two Wednesdays from now.
The last wait lists acceptances are coming out tomorrow. I called admissions as was advised that appeal decisions should be out “during the first week of June but could go to the middle of June”.

Got an e-mail today around 4:00 that said “An Update to your UC Berkeley Application” – checked it, and I got in off appeal!!
Now, the really hard part: choosing between UCLA and Cal :-<
Both my sons had appealed and both received decisions today at 4, we are in Southern California and one was denied and the other got in today for Fall admission to the College of Chemistry.
Got an email around 4:30 today. Denied. 
Just got accepted off appeal to the college of Letters and Science I can’t BELIEVE IT!!
Same as @stressed2death I have to choose between LA or Cal
@eterniall out of curiosity, when did you send in your appeal? In other words, was it towards the appeal deadline? Congratulations by the way!
