@bogeyorpar I’m an international student applying to MET and still haven’t received any request for interview nor LOR; does it mean I’m not considered for the program? If so can you tell me where did you get your info from?
how hard ic college of chem for admission?
@tarekb22, All information is from the official source http://met.berkeley.edu/admissions/.
“After the M.E.T. selection committee has reviewed your UC Application and Supplemental Essay, you may be invited for an interview. Interviews are by invitation only, and if selected you will receive an invitation by late January. M.E.T. candidates who are asked to interview will sign up for a 20- minute time slot to interview with a faculty member via Skype.
Applicants who are selected for the M.E.T. program will be notified during February or March of the following year.”
Has anyone been invited for an interview with regards to the MET program?
@Amogha23 @evaluna115 No… But it’s almost the end of Jan and I haven’t got an interview yet! : (
@bogeyorpar Thanks… Will send them a request!
@Ccada3300 , @Amogha23 , @evaluna115 Judging from the “Did anyone get a Berkeley MET interview request?” thread there are some people who have received interview invitations already.
@collegefind1234 I don’t know anyone who has got an interview request. It’s pretty much the end of January, and nobody (to my knowledge) has got any interview request. Just want to cross-check if anybody got an interview request.
I’m referring to Mech+Buisness
I haven’t received any request for an interview with for M.E.T
@bogeyorpar Not receiving a request for an interview doesn’t mean you are not considered for the
MET program*
I already interviewed for MET, and I’m pretty sure most of the interviews have occurred. I believe there were only about a couple hundred interview slots when I signed up. Somebody on Reddit estimated 180 slots. Don’t worry if you didn’t get an interview, since you are then considered for EECS still.
How was your interview? What did you mainly discuss?
@MrPotetoHead
It was with a man working at a large corporation, former Berkeley MBA graduate. It was quite short and we mainly talked about my suitability for the program, and the usual interview questions. Nothing to be worried about at all. Also correction to my earlier post, you will be considered for EECS if you applied for the EECS+business track, for the other tracks you will be considered for whatever the tech component was (I believe IEOR was the other one).
Did anyone get interviewed for mech+buisness?
When do regent’s come out?
For regents, some UCs are early February. I’m not sure if Cal is on the same schedule.
when did regents come out last year(?)(!)
I think around Feb 10th.
UCLA on the 2nd/4th for alumni/regents, UCB on the 10th for regents. Havent seen anything about Chancellors on last years thread. @chunklighttuna @lovespink
