@becky7700 same
So I submitted my application before I knew I had to report all test scores and I only self reported one ACT. However, after I found out, I sent all the official reports to Berkeley. Will this affect my application? Is there anything I can do about this?
@redygh901 - log back into your application. You should be able to still modify the test score section
The Regents interviews the year my student got it were done both at Berkeley and in Los Angeles.
@redygh901 on the self-test reporting section on the UC app, it said, “record the scores from the date on which you earned the highest overall (composite) score.” so I only submitted my highest score. I think you’re fine as long as your official score report has all the SAT scores they wanted
So I heard that getting asked for letters of recommendation is a good sign.
@me2000 check out this website https://■■■■■■■■■■■■/home/kudos-surviving-uc-app/
Take another look at your app and make sure everything is correct and that your payment is processed! According to the blogger of this website link, there was a glitch in the UC app payment portal at the end of Nov.
I thought that LOR requests only went to those who had borderline GPA/tests scores
@18college1111 that’s what I was thinking as well from what I’ve heard but not positive
@JuckFames what’s your stats?
@ANormalSeniorGuy Did you get a letter of rec request when you applied? I haven’t gotten on yet. If borderline students get LOR requests then does that mean they don’t qualify for regents?
@cottonball18 I did not get a LOR request, but my brother who is also here did get one and he got in. I would assume if they want you right away then you would not get one as they already want you, but im not sure I noticed they made the LOR requests much earlier this time around so they could have changed so that everyone sends them, but I doubt it.
A lot of LOR questions … Read this thread for more info:
Getting the LOR is definitely a good sign – you admission chance have increased to 46%!
This year, each UC is limited to sending requests for letters of recommendation to 15% of the applicant pool. See the attached link:
@Ballsandstrikes hmm that seems pretty low, as I thought last year UCB asked 30-40% of applicants.
@ANormalSeniorGuy Ok good to know thanks. I previously thought you couldn’t get regents w/o a letter of rec request, but I guess it depends.
@cottonball18 the percentage may have been higher last year, but the blog I linked to above indicates there are new rules this year. It sounds as if the UCs will need to be more selective in requesting recommendation letters.
Hey guys! I’m a freshman at UC Berkeley and I remembered how stressful and exciting waiting for decisions was last year, so If you have any questions feel free to ask me!
I got requested for letter of recommendations!!
