I had the same question. Does anyone know??
Major: Cognitive Science
GPA: 3.62 (Because of 2 classes I took at 14 while in high school)
TAP: Yes
PreReq: missing two PreReq
IGETC: Will be completed by Spring 2020
Essays: 9/10 maybe 9.5/10 they were pretty good.
ECS: Work 50 hours a week as a CTO of an automotive media firm. Volunteer and am heavily involved in church homeless help program. Pay my own bills and took leadership roles after the family had financial hardships due to my Dadās major health issues. Also, I am part of the Scholars program at my CC and TAP has been completed.
Chance me, please! My GPA would be well over a 3.8 if not for the two classes I took during high school. I hope the admission officers read that and take it in mind, the last 1.5 years I have maintained straight Aās. My ultimate goal is to create software using A.I. tech that can help those with learning disabilities. I have experience within the software industry and have taken initiative, another thing I am not sure has any weight is that I am 17. (Donāt get fooled by my name I am not sure I can afford to go up north but after talking with family we have a plan and I may get a software job in the area).
Howdy yāall!
Here are my stats, feel free to chance me:
Computer Science L&S/4.0 GPA (will definitely drop to at most a 3.9 after this semester)
[ *] Extracurriculars: Club for Women in Tech (President + Founder), Girls Who Code Chapter (Secretary), Phi Theta Kappa (Member), UCI INSPIRE summer program, NASA CC Aerospace Scholar, couple of hackathons
[ *] Job/Work Experience: Computer Science Tutor + Supplemental Instructor for Calculus
[ *] Volunteer/Community service: Tutor for a group tutoring site, Tutor for an organization that provides academic services to homeless students
[ *] Personal Statement: Ehhh probably a 6/10 I made some last minute edits that I really regret
[ *] Applied for Financial Aid?: Not yet
[ *] State (if domestic applicant): CA
[ *] School Type: CCC
[ *] Gender: Female
[ *] Income Bracket: Lowww but I didnāt really talk about it in my PIQs
[ *] Hooks (URM, first generation college, research, etc.): Woman in Tech, URM, started CC at 15
[ *] Strengths: My GPA, but itās going to drop this semester and Iām really bummed out. I feel like 3 years will be wasted over one semester.
[ *] Weaknesses: I talked to a Cal Rep and he was really nice but after I told him that Berkeley was my dream school, he said I have a chance but that I should definitely apply other places too. I was obviously going to, but hearing that made me loose all hope. Apparently L&S CS only accepts 40 students. RIP my dreams
Applying to what schools?
Cal, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCD (TAG), and some cal states
Hello fellow transfer hopefuls! Here are my states.
GPA: 3.75/Major GPA 4.0
IGETC: Completed by end of Spring 2020.
Major Prep: Completed by end of Fall 2019.
Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Service within sobriety fellowship, leadership positions within that fellowship.
Job/Work Experience: Iāve worked in restaurants and held management positions since I was 19, working full-time.
PIQās: Pretty strong. Felt that I presented myself well and accurately. Wrote about my service communities, some family and personal hardships Iāve worked to overcome, how I provide healing spaces for others, and self-discovery and community building in art. I am only applying to Berkeley and was able to tailor my PIQās for them.
Applied for Financial Aid?: Yes.
Intended Major: Social Welfare.
State (if domestic applicant): California
School Type: CCC
Gender: Woman
Income Bracket: Low (under 40,000, self-supporting)
Hooks: First generation, Chicanx.
Strengths: Every grade that is not an A was taken 8 years ago when I was 16 years old attempting CC for the first time. Since then, I have held a 4.0 GPA every semester.
Weaknesses: I work full-time, and that has made finding classes that fit my schedule every semester really tricky. As a result of that, most semesters Iāve only been able to take 3 classes. I also have a ton of Wās on my transcript from when I was a teenager. I was able to get academic renewal for any grade below a C, but I still have one C and two Bās on my transcript from years ago.

Hey has anyone received the haas supplemental application yet?
@Stiiizzy you might want to post here:

I just submitted my TAU form on the UC website, but UC Berkeley has a separate TAU on their own site. I logged in and checked my portal but the only form available is the Breadth one that I already submitted. Does anyone know how to access the TAU and major prereq form on the Berkeley site?
@smallkiwi Yeah, I donāt see the form, either. I think they didnāt put it up yet. Has anyone else seen/completed it? My guess is it will be available within a week, maybe in a few days.
It hasnāt shown up for me either. Iām sure they havenāt posted it yet!
Every time I click on required general education breath form for the college of Letters and Science it says 503 error. Did i miss the chance to fill it out? I havenāt been able to fill out the tau for Berkeley either
@cccstudent32 I think it was taken down for the January update! I submitted mine in November but they made me do it again, so youāre fine.
@smallkiwi ya you were right finally got it to work. Still donāt see TAU for Berkeley On MAP. Iām assuming it will be open soon since I got an email from them about it
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in chancing me for fall 2020 admission (transfer)
Major: Japanese Language and Literature

IGETC: completed by spring 2020
Extracurriculars: JLPT N3, California State Seal of Biliteracy, 45th Annual Japanese Speech Contest participant @Consulate of Japan in San Francisco, Cook at CGV Cinemas (work)

The page for General Education/Breadth came up for me. Does anyone know if I will also get an actual TAU like on the UC Application or will it just be the General Ed?
@snakejyder from my understanding it should be like the TAU on the UC app but it doesnāt seem available yet. Well i donāt see it yet
I thought it was just acknowledging you filled the TAU out. I canāt remember actually.
It is definitely a little confusing because their Transfer FAQ explicitly says to fill out a TAU on BOTH their portal and the UC App, yet the only thing that has come available is the Gen Ed/Breadth.
@Ohm888 after reading the email again I think you are prob right
