So how much $$ do I have to find to go to school at CAL?!

does ur say spring '11? it looks like i only got aid for spring…

Its giving u 16000 ish as scholarships and grants (Not to be repayed) then 4000 as loan thats why it says you have 20,000 for resources. You still need to cough up $6000

I am really confused.

I am getting around 11k in scholarships and 3k in federal pell grants. They did not list my Cal grant, so does this mean I did not get it yet or it is included in the scholarship number? Also, I am thinking about switching to math (instead of econ) because of the SMART grant and because I want to have the math skills for a masters in econ program or finance program. Alternatively, would it be better to minor in math? And if I do the minor, could I still get the grant? I know at UCLA, their math-econ program qualifies for the grant and I am sure the minor in math with econ major is very similar. Thanks.

My EFC is around 2300-3900 and I got 14318 in gift aid. I am not complaining, but it sucks because EFC is bull$h1t if your parents wont help you.

Berkeley just took away ~$6000 in aid money. What the?

^no they didn’t. u just changed the housing options so the living expenses went up…

I know thebigsh0w my efc is 7k, but my mother not helping me at all. Only good thing for me is that I can commute to Cal since I live in SF.

You guys should to stoked that you are getting any money. I know I would. Some people like myself are expected to come up with $25k (ie THE WHOLE THING)

so the tuition fee is based on how many units we enroll or just have to pay $10940 per semester?
