Hi everyone, I narrowed down my options to these two schools. Would you guys have any information regarding which would be better for premed? I’m trying to visit both schools, but with the May 1st deadline coming up, I might not have a chance for my family to. Also, are there strong pros and cons for each that might help my decision? Any information would help please!!
You’re probably better off going to UCI if you’re pre med, unless you’re confident that you can pull a 3.5+ GPA at UCB. If you consider yourself relatively smart, and is hardworking, you can probably pull it off, even with grade deflation, but if you’re just an average joe, you’re going to have a really bad time.
Take into consideration the rent of the apartments near each respective school(the cost to live in Berkeley is ghastly I hear), your overall impression of either school’s environment/vibe, whether or not you can do well, among other things. Ultimately, you’re the one who has to decide.
