UC Berkeley OOS transfer chance?

Applying for Junior transfer. I'm a freshman in a City University of New York (CUNY) school.

AP Credits: ~33
Fall Semester 2014: 16 credits (Expected GPA 3.75-3.85), rigorous load
Spring Semester 2015: 16 credits

Major: Near Eastern Studies (Arabic concentration) [L&S]
ECs: Excellent and very relevant to major.
Recs: Should be great.

Pre-reqs: Completed. Most of seven-course breadth is done as well.

bumpppp

Can you afford OOS tuition?

nearly on the same boat as you, @lucidkn1ght‌ , with similar interests too
i heard they prioritize applicants like this:
-California CC
-CSUs
-out-of-state CCs
-out-of-state 4-year institutions

so you have to be very unique/special/qualified

are you in the honors program at CUNY?

It never hurts to try. While the majority of transfers are CCC, they do accept OOS and more each year for the higher tuition. Your odds are about the same or maybe better than trying to get into an impacted major. Plus, I assume Near a Eastern is not selective…
