Which school offers the best courses in plant biology? Which school's coursework involves more fieldwork? UC Berkeley has always been my dream school, however, Davis's plant biology courses seem very interesting!
I would really like to get some more info on them, from anyone who attends either school, or has any information on them! What are the main differences between the schools when it comes to their plant biology courses?

Both u’s probably would do well for what you seek, related to things in the more esoteric sciences like plant biology, botany, etc.

I think they probably both have a lot to do with the Central Valley of CA which feeds a good portion of the US and world because of its agriculture, but I just seem to think that Davis, being located in that region, would have a bit more.

Can’t go wrong with either choice.

UC Davis might offer quite a bit more field work opportunities than UC Berkeley. I know that one of my “hippie” friends is relatively disappointed that she chose Berkeley because Davis offers a stronger program in her ecology related major. Btw, UCSC has an agroecology program and may be another good choice if you want to go to/ stay in NorCal while doing field work.

Considering your interests Davis would be the right choice, IMO.
