wow. i got a regents invite from berkeley, but not from ucla :confused:
somebody told me the UCs know who’s being invited to which, so they don’t invite the same people twice. but i don’t really know how that workds</p>

<p>ernestjohn: I was invited to both. The Regent’s scholarship goes to the “top candidates,” but obviously it’s a bit arbitrary.</p>

<p>I <em>believe</em> (i.e. I’m not 100% sure) that Cal and UCLA Regents scholarships are only offered to CA residents.</p>

<p>I got UC Berkeley Regents Invite but not UCLA (you can look at my threads for stats). I’m pretty happy tho, I love Berkeley the best :)) Anyone heard from UCSD yet?</p>

<p>Yay! Got one from Cal on Friday too. As for stats, I believe the candidacy for Berkeley is mostly based on your essays. But you do need a 4.0 uw to qualify.</p>

<p>^^ I think you are incorrect. You do not need a 4.0 unweighted to qualify for Regent’s. I have a 3.83 uw, 4.33 weighted and I got the email.</p>
