<p>has anyone found out if they are in the running for Regents/Alumni scholarships at Berkeley or UCLA?</p>
<p>UCLA's invites aren't sent out until mid March, and, as I have learned from a representative of the regent's department, UCB does not send out transfer invites.</p>
<p>Checked the mail today and there was something from UCLA. Turned out to be a invite to apply for regents. Thought I had missed out when everyone was getting theirs in Feb., but I guess they send them out later for transfers. So excited... Yeah!</p>
<p>What are you stats, and how close do you live to UCLA (assuming you meant physical mail rather than email)?</p>
<p>Yeah, I got the letter in the regular mail (snail-mail). I didn't get any type of e-mail about it, at least not yet. I live pretty close to UCLA, about 20 miles from the campus so it came fairly quickly. Although in LA I would say that's pretty far considering the amount of traffic standing in the way. I applied as a transfer student from a California Community College with a 4.0 GPA.</p>
<p>Yea, I just spoke with a representative from UCLA, and she said they sent out the invites on Tuesday. I am like 4 hours from UCLA, so I'll be checking the mail tomo.</p>
<p>I checked you stats, and we are nearly identical (4.0 & PoliSci major), lol.</p>
<p>I got the invitation today --UCLA makes a good safety.</p>
<p>I also received the invitation in the mail today and I live in the Bay Area. 4.0 English major...</p>

<p>Somewhere around half of those invited get the scholarship.</p>
<p>So if you get an invite does that pretty much mean you get accepted to the school?</p>

<p>Ya same here i did not receive one....I have a 4.0 and all my prereqs done and volunteered and job shadowed etc. etc. O ya i am back....</p>
<p>They draw from the essays quite a bit when making the decision, so that could be why they did not distinguish you from the other applicants with a 4.0.</p>
<p>Ektaylor, are you sure they sent out all the invites last Tuesday?</p>
