@Princessjjl, hope it works out for you; thankfully Berkeley considers all criteria for admissions and not just GPA. And yes, their admissions decisions will be available on Friday. Make sure, if you haven’t already, create a myUCBapp (that’s where the decisions will be posted - I’m pretty sure but don’t quote me!)

I’m also a Linguistics major with the same gpa, 3.67. I’m a little pessimistic too because the 2-3 linguistics majors (who posted here) that applied and got admitted in the past all had at least 3.9 and above. One got rejected for some reason even with a lot of EC’s and all prereqs done. So, I dunno, Berkeley is very unpredictable… I try not to think about it too much. I hope we both get in! Do you have any prereqs done?

(What do you think my chances are of getting in?) Kind of nervous because you can never be sure about Berkeley.

Does anyone also know what time decisions are released?

Major:Psychology

@CQBanana You seem to be a strong applicant as well. I think the Tap will help you out immensely, and according to last years thread of 2012 transfers, I believe I saw a couple of psychology majors who got in with a 3.8 and even one with a 3.7.

I’m a linguistics major as well!! And also nervous about this Friday (Cal AND UCLA) since I’m missing a few prereqs. But hopefully we’ll all get in regardless Good luck to everyone!

@eacole Yes, the link helps relieve a little bit of the anxiety. Honestly, I think anyone with a 3.8 or above and who is applying into a L&S major with strong extra curricular activities and took their time to produce a well written P statement should not worry too much.

If you’re interested in knowing that information, feel free to stop by and post your own statistics and check out others!

*If you are a Psyc major transferring to UCB, PLEASE contribute to the thread…I want everyone who’s applied to the major (including myself) to have some peace of mind knowing where they stand because the ambiguity of the admissions process is so stressful!!
