Berkeley does not consider applicants for admission if they have more than 80 semester units, so 120 quarter units. I plan on transferring from another UC, but with AP credit I will have 100 semester units and I will have exceeded the limit. Without AP Credit(based on just the courses I have completed), I will have 64 semester units, which is acceptable. Will I be able to transfer?
Quick Google search will reveal:
“College courses completed before high school graduation, as well as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and A or O level exams, should be reported on admissions applications and are recorded as transfer work. None of these units will be applied against the maximum number of units you are allowed at Berkeley.”
^Yep, AP credits do not count toward the unit max.
Thank you! @NotYetEngineer @luckie1367
