Now admissions is back tracking on their July 1st comment. They said “around that time” so it could be as late as July 4th. Gosh this is fun.
But hopefully June 28th, I saw the calCentral thing too!

It’s also been 2 months exactly since we were put on the waitlist, today could be the day!
From what I understand is that the address changes are simply bugs with no correlation between acceptance/rejection/waitlist etc. I wouldn’t let yourself be mislead since people who got rejected got that bug and people who got in also got that bug.

@RoobyDoo I sort of agree with you but I’m not gonna lie tho it must feel damn good to at least see a change in the portal. I’d say the best indication is the application FAQs changing to admission FAQs and the welcome letter on CalCentral but hey I seriously wish I had the four addresses too.

Last year at 6pm on June 27th there was a wave of acceptances so I’m not sure if thats happening right now. I got nothing. But I did get an email update at 6pm on the dot saying I didnt get a Cal scholarship. I have no idea if thats because they just so happened to release scholarship decisions, or if there’s something internal that notified I didnt get in. Feels like the latter.
@superduperdragon I did not get the scholarship notification, maybe it’s a good sign for you like you got in but you didn’t get a scholarship!
I just got an email on my Berkeley address saying that the state budget has been signed maybe that’s what they were waiting for before take us all off the waitlist 
Yeah that kinda felt possible. The scholarship rejection speaks to me as if i’m already a student but its probably a generic message sent out to those who got bunked off. The message notes that the scholarship is harder to get than general admission so having been waitlisted, its probably no surprise.
WHat bothers me is the waitlist website. So it says once I submit after i type CONFIRM I can’t change anything, but obviously I can, and I had to because my Spring grades came in around June 6th so I updated it then. I called the school and they suggested it was nothing and that updates were obviously allowed for spring grades and edits, but it scares me. Makes me think something might not have gone through, since it also says on the disclaimer “dont worry about the formatting”, but it looks the same because whenever I click on the waitlist page its like a submission form, still. However the timestamps clearly say when i initially opted into the waitlist and when I did my update so I guess its fine.
If you guys know anyone who got already accepted in your desired major, ask them to check bcourses.berkeley.edu/groups for you. Tell them to click on “People” to list all the transfer students who are currently enrolled for Fall 18’. If the number is low compared to other years, and given the good news about budget, then chances are good!
I’m all for a bigger budget if it means we all get off this waitlist! Also I am back down to 2 addresses again! Hopefully tomorrow is the day!
